Vienna State Opera Live at Home
In 2013, the Vienna State Opera asked the Vienna Film Academy to collaborate with students to set up an in-house streaming channel and a team for live broadcasts with multi-camera technology (Vienna State Opera Live at Home). I was involved in this project from the beginning as director and later also as co-leader of the team.
Co-productions
Since 2013, I have directed over 100 live broadcasts and recordings of operas, concerts, and ballets.
Some of my recordings were co-productions of the Vienna State Opera with ORF III and/or Unitel and were broadcast by various TV stations.

World premieres
My personal highlights were the recordings of world premieres of contemporary works such as Olga Neuwirth’s “Orlando” (2019), Johannes Maria Staud’s “The Willows” (2018) and the Vienna premiere of Alexander Raskatov’s “Animal Farm” (2024).
Other broadcasts
In addition to the broadcasts of operas, ballets, and concerts, I have also directed the recordings of season presentations (most recently season 24/25) and introductory matinees (most recently for “Salome” (2023), “Turandot” (2023), “Don Carlo” (2024)”, “Fin de Partie” (2024)) or trailers for new productions (“Dialogue des Carmélites”).

Repertoire
Over the years, I enjoyed working intensively with an extensive repertoire of opera, ballet, and concerts. I had the opportunity to acquaint works from all eras and languages of opera and ballet history.
My work on countless livestream productions also granted me the great privilege of experiencing and comparing first-hand different top-class casts on stage and in the orchestra pit.
Director and score assistant
In addition to my work as a director, I have also been involved in numerous productions as an assistant director or score assistant.
The latter has always given me particular pleasure. Giving the director the cues for live editing requires an in-depth study of the orchestral score and a high level of focus on the music.
